Obituary

Bethany Anne (Woltz) Chaffin 39, passed away on August 30, 2021 at the James Cancer Hospital Solove Research Institute. Bethany was a 2000 graduate of Grandview Heights High School and was a State of Ohio Licensed Esthetician. Bethany's life revolved around her children. She will be remembered for her fighting spirit, infectious laugh and beautiful smile. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank (Mary) Monaco, James (Lorna) Woltz. Survived by her loving and devoted children, Maria Woltz & Gary Chaffin-Woltz (father, Gary Chaffin), loving mother, Mary Lynn "Dee Dee" Monaco, father, James D. Woltz (Marylin), ever-faithful and loving brother, Joseph D. Woltz (Maria), many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends 4-7 pm on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. FIFTH AVE. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday 10:00 am at St. Christopher Catholic Church 1420 Grandview Ave. FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH WHERE THE FUNERAL PROCESSION WILL FORM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Foundation (AASLD.org). Jim & I were neighbors on Fishinger Rd & went to the same schools. I remember seeing Bethany @ Lorna's house. She must have been around 8 years old. Such a beautiful little girl. Again my sincere condolences.
