Stanley Ray Phillips, age 77 passed away on August 16, 2021. Born in Grayson, Kentucky. Graduate of Franklin Heights High School. Retired from General Motors after 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan (nee Smith), daughters, Janet (Terry) Peitsmeyer and Samantha (Bradley) McKeown, three grandchildren, Spencer Woda, Quincey Woda amd Brittany (Willian) Altamirana, one great-grandchild, Hunter Altamirana, brother, Barry (Connie) Phillips, sister, Linda (Gregory) Stover and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lucille (Wallace) Phillips and sister, Phyllis Janet Phillips. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A real people person and made friends wherever he went. His Nickname was “Stan the Man”. Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2898 and the Naus Club. He served in the National Guard and was an active member at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Friday August 20, 2021 4-7pm at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W FIFTH AVE. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 10:00 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church 1600 N. Hague Ave. FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT THE CHURCH FOR MASS.
