Jo and her late husband John were dear friends, which we loved exchanging regular visits with, both in Florida and Ohio.
We played a lot of Golf, the four of us, family against family - the Riviera Italian Golf Club in Dublin was still open back then. Galina and I remember Jo making a hole-in-one, while smiling saying
"That's because I don't care."
Much to our surprise with John, Jo and Galina were playing cards together while we were playing bridge in the Bridge Club. Their favorite game was Gin Rummy.
There was not a dull moment while being together, whether playing, or riding elephants in Thailand, or sipping margaritas in Shangri-La in Singapore, or riding fast-boats in Phuket, or golfing in Indonesia.
Jo will be missed dearly, as her husband John was years ago ...
Rest in peace, Jo:

My deepest sympathies at the loss of your dear Jo.
I moved into Friendship Village Dublin three years ago where I was lucky enough to be welcomed into the "Riverstone Girls." Sitting arounds a big dinner table with Jo was always an uproarious affair.
Then came CO-VID--a year of lost time. what a waste for all, especially for all of you.
But when we were finally released from our cages the fun resumed. Jo helped me learn how to play Euchre, not very well, but she did her best. She was so proud of Sophie when she came to play the flute with the OSU woodwinds, as well as with her grandson when he came through Dublin to sing with his a cappella group from Miami. I think everyone at FVD enjoyed those evenings almost as much as Jo did.
Even towards the end of her life I'd see Jo down in the lobby, dressed and made up elegantly. I'd say, "Jo, you look beautiful! How are you feeling?" She would chuckle and reply in that "Jo" way, "Oh, terrible."
I will miss her dearly,
and will pray that God comforts you in the days.
