I'm very sorry to learn of Mr. Susi's passing. My parents, sister & I used to live on Homecroft Dr. between Hudson St & Weber Rd in the Linden area in the late 50's to late 60's. Your dad was our mail carrier, he was a very nice man, I remember him well.
May God comfort you, give you peace & the strength needed to get through this difficult time.

If you need a story about Lucian, he and Ermida were our neighbors on 21st Avenue. In 1953 Rocky Marciano fought Jersey Joe Walcott for the heavyweight championship. Most of the neighborhood came to our house to watch the fight. Just as the fighters were being introduced, Ermida asked Lucian to go to the house to get something. When he came back, the fight was over: a first round knockout! We also had the honor to have Lucian Susi, the mailman as the neighbor on our right. The neighbor on the left was Lucian Susi, the milkman.

Dear Susi family, we are so sorry for your loss. We met Lucian at Milano's on Oakland Park avenue. Always enjoyed listening to him, especially when he talked about his wife and making pitzells. He loved his vino too. When he walked into a room, he exuberated respect. We are praying for healing and comfort. David, Maggie and Brian West

I wish to extend my sincere condolences on the passing of Lucian. I have many fond memories of Lucian during my years growing up on Carbone Drive. He was a dear friend to my dad, Gus. Lucian was so friendly, welcoming, and a great story teller. My husband and I were elated to see him with Carol at an Italian festival a few years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.
