|Life is a series of challenges for us all, each one is like a branch on a tree, Some of us have a strong straight trunk of an Oak, others have the bends and angles of a Contorted Filbert. Both are trees, but have little else in common, yet both grow in the same forest. The Curly Walking
Stick is impossible to straighten out, but coveted by many for its' strength and flexibility. There is no rhyme or reason to the way it jogs and zigs about, it is just some quirk of nature. We can wish it would behave, and wish it were that Oak, alas, it is not. Admire it for its' adaptability and interesting nature, for its' individualism and its' stubbornness. The tree wants to be an Oak but cannot get out of the plan for crooks and curves. Much as everyone wants conformity, it is not an option. No one can change it just let that thought go. Love it for its chinks and all. The Contorted Filbert is my favorite tree. Embrace the odd and different. I hope peace for you, Dee, my little walking stick.
