I just wanted to say how sorry I am. He was such a sweet man. I remember going into the shop with my dad when I was little and he was so great. He let me play with things and showed me diffrent things. I thought he was the neatest person in the world. Mr. Wilson will always be in my heart.
Sincerly,
Nicole Lucas

Zane was a pretty cool dude. A real Conservative that we and many others could really relate to.
A war hero, historian, and gentleman that will be missed by all that had the opportunity and pleasure to
know him.

My heartfelt condolences. I will miss Zane terribly! I will miss his never ending stories, his sense of humor on just about every subject we spent hours talking about, as I often stood there at 10 minutes after 5 and the B.S. still flying as the phone was ringing with Nicki on the other end wondering where he was! I will miss his never ending knowledge that I believe will never be replaced. I will always remember all the hellacious trades we made between each other, and the hours bantering back and forth about what each item was worth along with the bits of information we exchanged as friends.
I will aways remember how we greated one another when I came into the store
with a smile and a handshake with our how are you,s to begin a fresh B.S. session or a new round of trades. You will be profoundly missed! I am so saddend by this happening that I had a very disturbed rest friday with all my "Zane" memmories flooding my thoughts. Rest in Peace Zane.

Jeff Ison

I was so sorry to hear of the death of Zane Wilson. I am a Clintonville resident and was a customer of "Mr. Zane's" as I called him. He was such a nice man. I am interested in edge weapons and he was always so helpful in talking about whatever history he knew regarding the items I asked about and purchased.
I hadn't been in the store for awhile and almost stopped by earlier last week. I'm sorry I did not.
I sincerely hope his son continues the store. I remember he told me one time when I asked about seeing some items in one of the cases (which was blocked by so many other things that it could not be accessed), that he was in the process of clearing things out and his son was or might be putting some things on the internet.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dear roc- I am so deeply saddened by the viscious murder of your father. I have never forgotten those years back then and I want you to know that I am thinking of you and your mom and am praying that you personally will find the son of a bitch who did it. I know you will. Be strong for your mom and take care of her now. If you track him to Reno, let me know. We all carry weapons out here. Be strong and know that you and your mom are in my prayers. Love D

Zane was a fine man, who set a good example for us all. In addition to his military service for our country, he knew that the right to be armed, the right to self-defense, is essential to a free people. Zane died defending that right, and perhaps if others had used force against those murderous criminals, Zane would still be alive today.
By defending himself, though fatally wounded, he injured one of his assailants, leading to their capture. He insured that the rest of us are safer, (but only if we follow his example, and do not give up our right to self-defense.)
He was a true and good American, and it would be a better world if there were more like him.
My sympathies to his family and friends, you have lost a treasure of a good man.

Dear family of Zane Wilson
I was very sorry to read about the loss or your husband of 53 years that is a life time. I lost my mate one day after out 26th wedding anniversary so I know the pain and hurt you are going through. I found comfort and encouragment from the bible. I just wanted to share that with you and your family. As we all know the bible is the source of truth and it holds out awonderful hope for all those in the grave. At John 11:25 Jesus said "I AM THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE HE THAT EXERCIES FAITH IN ME EVEN THOUGH HE DIES WILL COME TO LIFE" Nicki millions today do not believe in aresurrection, but does their unbelief in a resurrection make it easier for them to face the positive hope of living again and seeing dead loved ones retutn to life? For the person who believes that God exists belief in a resurrection is not difficult. It is reasonable for us to conclude that the one who originally started out human life is wise enough and powerful enough to restore the dead to life recreating dead humans. This one JEHOVAH GOD has promised such a resurrection and given reassurance that such is possible by resurrecting his only begotten son JESUS CHRIST.
I hope these few words have given you someting to think about and has lightened your grief strenghtened your faith in our heavely father,JEHOVAH GOD(Psalms 83:18) For more information regarding the resurrection please contact your local Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah Witnesses or speak to the next one who comes to your door.

Dear Mrs. Wilson, Roc and Judy,
It's been along time ( six years) since I worked for Cavin and Judy Carmell. Cavin was our best man and one of my best friends. I bought my first gun from Zane. It was a gift for my boyfiend and now husband LCDR Grant Dunn, USN. I had to fly with the (45) on a plane to take it to him in Virginia for Christmans in 1997. Zane recommend this special gun for me to carry concealed. I was so proud to show the airline ticket counter at Port Columbus the firearm (to declare) and wanted to make sure all the passengers around me knew I had it with me. I had to mention out loud that Virgina already had passed a concealed carry law. Zane was also a great source of information for me when I wrote a college paper on the right to bear arms in Ohio. I got an A and Zane was really pleased. I admired Zane and he is a hero in my eyes, he without doubt saved others by his actions on February 27. He stood up for what he believed in and I am proud to say that I knew him. I wish I could take away your loss and pain. I am praying for all of you now.
Warm regards & sympathy,
Jill & Grant Dunn

I am so sorry about Zane's death. We met on the troop train to Boot Camp during Worl War II and then ran into each other after the war when we were both electricians. We worked on several jobs together and attended many meetings and IBEW functions together over the years. He will be sadly missed.

My late husband Scott Hevelin was a vet and a gunsmith. He considered Zane to be a true legend. It was always interesting to see what was at the shop. I was just telling someone today that Zane's store wasn't the average store.
