Obituary
Virginia A. "Ginny" (Donofrio) Pannella, passed quietly surrounded by family and love. She was 17 days shy of her 98th birthday. We always joked she was going to live to 100! Ginny is survived by Clem, her husband of 72+ years; daughters, Vicky, and Dora (Dave) White; grandchildren, Brad (Francis) and Ryan (Samantha); great-grandchildren, Max, Madison & Kodah White; her dear lifelong friends, Gilda Ferrari, Esther Rogers and Sylvia Lombardi; and many cherished nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by parents, Donato & Dorothea (Casbarro) Donofrio; sisters, Rose and Peggy; brothers, John, Nick and Joe, Mary (Abbruzzese) and Cuono Pannella; mother and father-in-law, Mary (Joe) Buttress, Anne (Pete) Salemi, Rita (Ernie) Melaragno; sisters-in-law, Bob (Jeanne) Pannella, brother-in-law. Ginny was a true Italian cook, wedding cookie baker, seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and cross-stitch fanatic. She always had a project in the works. She was an active member of Amici D'Oro, St. Francis of Assisi Seniors, Iota Tau Sigma and Past President of the GALA. She loved a good bus trip to anywhere! She was a Graduate of Central HS '47. We would like to thank Dan Melaragno, M.D. for his exceptional care, The Staff at The Estates of Knightsbridge- Ambassador Building and the Luminary Hospice Team. In lieu of flowers, please consider an act of kindness to someone you love or donate to your favorite charity. There will be calling hours Friday, September 4, 2026, at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home 1177 W 5th Ave Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 2-5 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5pm with Fr. Vince Nguyen from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery. "She may have left us, but let's be honest, heaven just gained a new boss angel with some sass. We'll miss her like crazy, so let the party begin!"

I am so sorry to learn of Virginia's death--but what a great life she had. We had a connection from the time I was very young and was honored to be in the wedding party. I truly loved all of the Italian families I knew growing up and miss them all. God bless your entire family.
