Dear Erin & Patrick,

I was so saden to hear of your father's death. Tim and I grew up near each other in Newark, Ohio. I always remembered him being such a good swimmer. As I was a college roommate of your mother, I began to see your father again when he began to date your mother. He always had a big smile on his face and I'll remember him that way.

Tim said to me a few times "I don't know why people like me". I think the answer can be found in Matthe 25 35-36 "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me." I was never in prison but he did all of the others for me and I'll bet several others during his life.
I feel lucky to be able to call him friend and I will always love him for it.

All of you have my deepest sypathies and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the honor and priviledge of working with Tim. When Tim smiled he could brighten a room. Tim always had a kind word to say and life story to share. Once in a great while someone special comes along that touches your heart and I believe that Tim had that effect on everyone that he met. I know that he touched mine and I will be forever greatful. Tim will be deeply missed but never forgotten. God Bless!

I owe much to Tim and the strong mentorship he provided me early in my career. His focus, direction, and, most of all, humor, gave me a role model for the rest of my life. I will miss him, and send my deepest sympathy to his family.

Dear Family of Tim McGinnis...you will not know me...with the possible exception of Pat. Tim and I grew up together in Newark and graduated together at Newark High School in 1966. Our association really centered around our church, Trinity Episcopal Church where we attended church and church school. We were confirmed together and for several years we served as acolytes with many of our other peers. I have not seen Tim...probably since High School graduation but have often thought of him, particulary as we celebrated our class reunions every five years. It has been a joy and privilege to read all of the wonderful tributes about Tim. Many years have passed since I have seen Tim...but all of these comments speak of the wonderful person he was and certainly is in the wonderful memories you all share. These good thoughts and attributes of Tim all fit with the Tim I knew many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss. God's blessings to all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's death. Your Mom & I lived together for 3 years in college and so your Dad was a very big part of my life for much of that time. I will always remember your Dad with his wonderful smile and great laugh. I considered him a good friend at that time and am saddened for you loss.

My sincere condolences to the McGinnis Family. I graduated with Tim from Newark High and considered him a friend even though out paths have not crossed for many years. I know that words can not heal the sorrow that is in your hearts right now but rest assured that Tim is with God right now and he is smiling brightly just like the picture on this page. God Bless!

Rita and I are so very saddened to hear of Tim's passing. I have alot of great memories of Tim from hanging out at the house on Gladys during our high school days. Pat, he defined what being cool was then and I'm sure that part of his personality never stopped and it never will.
