Melanie,
I was sorry to hear about Tom's death. When I started working at the Attorney General's Office in 1985, Tom was employed there. He was such a good-hearted man and a helpful coworker. I have fond memories of the days I spent working with him. I pray that our Great God of Peace, the Lord Jesus Christ, will extend his peace to you today, tomorrow and in the days to come.

Hi aunt Melanie, I'm so sorry to hear about this tragedy, though i never got to spend much time with uncle Tom(except for reunions) I always heard alot about him from grandmommy(Patricia Welch). It seems we never get to equate the quality of a person with the time they deserve, and to have this quality explained in a eulogy when it's too late is never even a comparison to the living example. I know Uncle Tom was a great man because he's a Murphy, and you married him so that makes you a great lady, and that greatness comes with the strength to make sure people knew how great a man the world just lost, and through this display they will also see this greatness through you. I wish our family was closer so we didn't have to wait until a funeral for unity. Love your great nephew Jack Singerman

Dear Melanie,

Thank you for calling. I enjoyed the Celebration of Life video. It's so sad Tom's life ended the way it did, after so much time in the hospital/nursing home and going back and forth to different doctors.

Let's try to get together sometime after the holidays (I'm working, so wont' have time off for Christmas or New Year's Day).

With deepest sympathy,
Nancy
