Obituary
Thomas J. Mangia, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Mount Carmel East Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Currently employed with the J. E. Wiggins & Co., and retired from Rockwell International. Veteran of the U.S. Navy. Member of St. Matthew the Apostle Parish and former member of St. Philip the Apostle Parish. He is preceded in death by parents, Salvatore "Sam" and Marianna "Mary" (Iannarino) Mangia; sister, Ann (John) Mascari; brothers, Anthony "Bud" Mangia and Jim (Mary Lee) Mangia; brother-in-law, Les Long. Survived by loving wife of 54 years, Josephine (Melfi) Mangia; children, Mary Jo Mangia, Tom (Molly) Mangia, Bob (Jeff) Mangia and Teresa Mangia; granddaughters, Jordan, Kelsey and Megan; sisters-in-law, Joanne Mangia and Rosella Long; aunts, Peg Passero and Kay Iannarino; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Friday, August 23, 2013, at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna. Interment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Tom to St. Matthew Parish Fund, 807 Havens Corners Road, Gahanna (43230). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Tom had a wonderful full life. A loving family, the ability to work and do the things he wanted to do. He was a happy man, when I worked with him at Wiggins for 30 some years.You all have my sincere sympathy, and are in my prayers.

Kim & I were saddened to hear the news about Tom. Tom was a joy and an educating experience to be around. The times I got to play Bocci with him, the raising of the "fig" tree and all the gatherings will always bring pleasant memories for me. He will sorely be missed by all but we can receive strength and comfort through Jesus Christ our Savior.
