Teresa L. Ciotola, of Upper Arlington, OH, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023, with her beloved husband and children by her side. Teresa was born on October 6, 1969 in Columbus, Ohio. Growing up on the west side of Columbus, she had a love for music and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. She graduated from West High School in Columbus in 1988 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from Capital University in 1992. It was here where she met her soon to be husband, Aaron. Teresa and Aaron had three children together, Audrey, Mary, and Simon, the loves of her life.
She loved to sing, preforming in various choral groups and as part of Columbus Light Opera following her college days. She became a music teacher, teaching in various school districts in Ohio, where she was known for her outstanding Music Concerts with students. She had a passion for health and fitness and she opened her own fitness studio in Bexley, Ohio, where she gained many loyal clients and friends. In 2012 she married her second husband, Ralph Ciotola, whom she'd known since High School. Ralph had three boys from a previous marriage, Nicolas, Anthony, and Alex, whom Teresa loved and accepted as her own. It was during this time that Teresa earned her Master's Degree in Education from Ashland University and began work as an Assistant Principal in Pickerington schools. Teresa was known for being the "glue" that kept all her many devoted friends together, always making sure everyone was informed of birthdays and specials moments in her friends' lives. Known for passionate devotion, relentless determination and always putting others needs before her own. Enduring many emotional and physical trials, in the end, it was her faith in the Lord that sustained her and will inspire many. Teresa is survived by her loving husband Ralph; children, Audrey, Mary, and Simon; step-children, Nicolas (Hannah) Ciotola, Anthony Ciotola and Alex Ciotola; mother, Edna Sowards; sisters, Carla Chambers, Sharon (Lee) Brennan and Lisa Pullen, nephews and nieces, as well as many devoted, loyal and loving friends whom she considered her family as well. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio or The Kobacker House, or a charity of your choice.
