Obituary
Terry L. Batey, age 35, passed away on Sunday May 19, 2013, at home surrounded by his family and friends. Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and a graduate of Williams High School, Burlington, NC. An avid OSU fan, he was a Senior Production Manager at Art.com. Terry is survived by his wife, Kelly L. (Schaeffer) Batey; parents, James and Karen Batey; brothers, Ben Batey and Aaron (Jessica) Batey; grandmother, Pauline Kiser; aunts, Susan (Roger) King, Mary Jo (Duane) Hammer and Michelle (Bob) Clinger; uncles, William (Soon Ae) Kiser and Mike (Viviane) Kiser; father-in-law, Robert (Sandy) Schaeffer; brother-in-law, Kenneth Schaeffer; many cousins and close friends; and his furry children, Veruca and Gus. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Janet L. Schaeffer; paternal grandparents, Jim and Eileen Batey and maternal grandfather, Alvin Kiser. Terry's family will receive friends on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. 5 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Terry to either Heartland Hospice, 6500 Busch Blvd., Ste. 210, Columbus (43229) or OSU The James, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus (43218). Kelly, My family has so admired you from the beginning and your relationship with Terry. You brought out the best in each other. When I think of the 2 of you, I see you in the basement singing as rock stars together with zero inhibitions. Pure Fun and love. I am so glad that Terry could share his best memories with you.

Kelly we are very sad to hear of Terry's passing. I Remember a lot of fun times with him and the few times we got to hang out with you and him together. We will miss him greatly.We are very lucky to know the both of you. I hope you can be happy the rest of your life he was a very lucky man he loved you a lot.
