Obituary
Sultana "Tana" Kougendakis, age 83 passed away peacefully on March 9, 2023. Tana was born on February 13, 1940 in Cambridge, Ohio. She was the daughter of Efthemios (Thomas) Poulos and Argero (Mary Pavlos) Poulos. She was married to John Kougendakis on January 12, 1958. Sultana is preceded in death by both her parents and her loving husband John; sisters, Dorothy Pandelos, Joan Betsacon, Dolly Bryan and Thalia Hazinakis. She is survived by her sister Evangeline Kallipolitis; children, Harry (Rosemarie) Kougendakis, Lisa (Russell) Houck, John (Susan) Kougendakis; grandchildren, Kristen, Richard, Katie, Alexis and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Alexia, Cameron, Lena, Brewer, Otto and Reagan along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 15, 2023 from 8:30-10:30 am at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W 5th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 am by Father Demetrios Gardikis and then a procession to Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com
