Obituary
Sully Anthony Caradonna, age 51, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2013, at Kobacker House. Sully, a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and brother, is survived by his loving wife, Pennie; sons, Salvatore and Angelo of Dublin; mother, Eliana Cardadonna and father, Antonio Caradonna, both of Columbus; brother, Tommy Caradonna of Dublin; sister, Annamaria (Jamey) Cua of Westerville; mother-in-law, Connie J. Leist of Hilliard; brother-in-law, Richard (Jerri Moore) Leist of Columbus; nephews, Cameron and Anthony; nieces, Gianna and Eva Cua of Westerville; plus, many many dear friends. Sully was a 1980 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School and graduated with honors in 1984 from The Ohio State University. For the past 27 years he was a dedicated associate of Chemical Abstracts (CAS). However, Sully is best known as the managing partner, member and the bass player for the band in Columbus known as "The Reaganomics." Sully's family will receive friends Monday, July 8, 2013, from 4-8 p.m., at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, (Dublin). Entombment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. For those who wish, donations prefered to Kobacker House, c/o 180 E. Broad St., Columbus (43215). Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com. Friends and family are asked to gather at the church for the funeral Mass.

We are saddened by his passing. Sully was the best man at my wedding some 21 years ago. We spent a week together in Florida and I can truly say it was one of the most memorable times I have had. We have lost touch over the years but he has and always will be in our hearts.

When Sully came to CAS, lo, those 27 years ago, I was his first "boss." I quickly learned from him. I learned to value his creativity, I learned to appreciate his independence, I learned to trust his honesty, and above all, I learned that he would always deliver all of those qualities on any assignment to any deadline, even when that deadline might be absurdly short.
However much he may have been a bassist at heart, he was always true to his "day job."
