Obituary

Stephen Carl Wenger, age 70, of Canal Winchester, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Columbus, Ohio but resided in Reynoldsburg for most of his life. Steve graduated in 1972 from Gahanna Lincoln High School and Eastland Vocational School, studying data processing. Steve was a computer operator for most of his life, retiring from Ohio Department of Public Safety. He loved playing cards, riding motorcycles and later in life, riding his three-wheeled bicycle on the Metro Park trails. Stephen is survived by family members and many good friends including best friend Art Wilson and his wife, Kim. He was grateful to have been associated with Richard and Charlene Werner’s family in Reynoldsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Martha (Clagett) Wenger; uncle, Rev. Carl P. Clagett; and Grandmother Rose M. Clagett. Donations may be made in Steve’s memory to Easter Seals/Cerebral Palsy of Central Ohio.
