Obituary

Sally S. Jaeger, age 81, passed away on December 5, 2010 at her home in Hilliard. She was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and The Ohio State University. Sally was one of the first woman cheerleaders for The Ohio State Buckeye Football team when they had a thrilling victory over the University of California in the 1950 Rose Bowl. She was a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church. Sally was also the chairperson for the Merry-Go-Round, The Childhood League's major fund-raiser that has become a beloved tradition in the community. She loved to dance, travel and spend time with her family. Sally was born on August 4, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Gordon, Sr. & Katherine Kuster. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bill Jaeger and her brother Gordon Kuster, Jr. Sally is survived by her children; Dan (Lindsay Richmond) Jaeger, Dale Jaeger, Tracie (Jim) Mealer and Kim (Robert Sly) Jaeger. "Grammy" is also survived by her grandchildren; Corey, Jessie, and Hannah Mealer, Ryan Jaeger, Ceri & Eric Turner and Cassondra Jaeger. The family would like to express grateful appreciation and special thanks to the devoted staff at HomeReach Hospice, including Gwen Phillips and to her caregiver Ann Marshall. A Celebration of Life will take place on FRIDAY December 10, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 6:00-8:00 PM. PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT will take place at the Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Sally to the Ohio Health Foundation (HomeReach Hospice), 180 E. Sally was the embodiment of total enjoyment for life. She was a great confidant and special friend in special times. I am so sorry that I missed her celebration. I know she would have enjoyed it, too. It's good to know that Sally carries on in her great family. Michele
