Obituary

Rose K. Agriesti, age 67 passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at her home. Rose was very proud of her accomplishments as a graduate from Northland High School in 1975 and from the Ohio State School of Cosmetology in 1977, and the Ohio State College of Barber Styling in 1980 obtaining both license and Owner/Operator of Agriesti's Barber Shop. She also spent time waitressing (you could not have a party or gathering without Rose showing off her waitressing skills.) She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph C. and Petrina R. (Milicia) Agriesti. Rose is survived by her sister, Denise J. Agriesti; brothers, Mark J. Agriesti and Frank R. (Shaun K.) Agriesti; nephews ("sons"), Nicholas J. and Vincent M. Agriesti; as well as many other extended family and friends. Early in life Rose enjoyed swimming and diving at the Tamarack Pool. Later she loved and bragged about her record album collection and traveling to Italy. Rose always loved being with family and friends and we loved how funny she was and how she was always laughing and was loving to all. Rose was always ready to cheer on the Buckeyes and Browns Football Games. She was loved by many and proud of her Italian Heritage. Rose will be missed dearly. Rose you are free now your future starts today not tomorrow. Friends and Family are asked to gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet St. Columbus, Ohio 43215 in Italian Village at 10:30 am. A Mass with Msgr. Frank P. Lane, Presiding will start at 12 noon. A procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 S High St. Lockbourne, Ohio 43137. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her name be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus 43215. Condolences and contributions may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

My condolences to the family on the loss of Miss Rosie. She always had a smile, a story, and a kind word when she'd see me. Our little apartment community will miss her.

Sorry to read about Rose. Back in the day when we all lived in Forest Park it was either Denise or Rose that babysat for me and my brother, Chip. If I remember correctly, we used to hang out in tree houses that Mark and Frank helped build that happened to be on a vacant lot behind my house. If not there it was the Tamarack pool those summers when my parents decided to get a membership. I'll never forget the block party the neighbors on Honeytree Ct. decided to throw one year! My memory is not that keen but I'll bet Rose was there!

It sure was nice to know her and the rest of the Agriesti family. Though the years have flown by and most of us have lost touch, I won't forget someone as nice and personable as Rose.

Rose was my barber for years. Even when I moved to the other side of town I still came back to Grandview for haircuts and conversations about how great it was to grow up in the Northland area. She will be sorely missed.
