Sharon and Laura,
I was saddened to hear of Roger's passing. I will always remember how much fun he was to talk to and how enthused he always was about whatever project he was working on. I remember how encouraging you all were to me when Christina was born and how I wanted our family to be as caring as yours. She is now a sophomore at Miami University and her brother, Max is in 7th grade. Our prayers are with you and Vince -- I know this is a difficult time. Take care and be comforted in your memories of happy times together.

In His love,

The Davey Family

Dear Sharon: You know that Roger and I shared a special connection that only he and I understood. No matter how we tried to explain to others it never really came across the way we knew it to be. I will so miss him. As I sat with him at Kobacker, he knew that I would be left alone with those memories as he would no longer be there to remember with me. He had done so much work in these past years to get to that peaceful place where grace and love overflowed in his heart and soul. His spirit was joyful and he was ready to go to his Lord. How truly blessed you both were to have experienced such love and companionship through the years. I will always love you both. With sincere respect for you and all you sacrificed to make his final days and hours on this earth a safe, warm and loving environment to slip peacefully to the other side and into the arms of those who have gone before him. He is now an angel as we always knew he was all along. All my love, Diane

Sharon,
My name is Jamie Lamb and I worked at the Lazarus, Kingsdale store from 87 to 92 (or 93?). I met you a few times at the Lancôme cosmetics counter where I worked.
I wanted to express my condolences to you.

Roger is truly one of those rare people, that if you met him - you had to love him.
His sense of humor, lively personality, and ability to make people feel special is second to none.
I’ll never forget how he used to put a pair of shoes on “eternal hold (or until payday) for me. (I used his “eternal hold line on more than one occasion to get a laugh!)
He touched so many lives, and will be truly missed.

Sincerely,

Jamie Lamb

I just couldn't purchase a ready made sympathy card for Roger. I pray that both of your "coping skills" kick in to bring closure for all the pain and suffering over the past few years endured by Roger. My thoughts are certainly with you and I'm glad I got to spend some quality time with him before I came back to AZ. Thank you so much for sending me your email. I appreciate the fact that you thought of me on that fateful yet joyous day. If either of you need to get away for any specific time please feel free to make my home your headquarters. I should be most happy to have you. I shall be thinking of you throughout the coming days. Peggy

Please know that I am so sorry about the passing of Roger. He was such a wonderful person! I have such fond memories of Roger while he was at High Street Market. My brother Al Currier did a painting of the market years ago when it was in it's prime. I loved it so much that he gave it to me for my birthday one year. Roger will be sadly missed and thought of often. Every time I look at the painting that Al did, I will think of Roger and his family. He always had a kind word or a hilariously funny story to tell. His memory will make me smile. How many people can do that?

Please accept my condolences and best wishes always,

I am so sorry to hear of Roger's passing. I'd like for you to know how much I enjoyed the Flaget revues, and how much I learned from both of you. You may not remember me, but I will never forget Roger and the "touch of class" he brought to our annual show. You will all be in my prayers.
