Obituary

Robert N. "Monty" Montenaro, age 76, passed away on Saturday January 28, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was a graduate of West High School and proudly served in the US Air Force. Monty was a member of the Humboldt Lodge 476 achieving 32 degree Scottish Rite and a member of the Central Ohio Soaring Association. He retired from the state of Ohio as a field auditor for the BWC. Monty spent many years volunteering for the St. John the Baptist Italian Festival. He is preceded in death by his parents, Patrick & Connie, sisters; Lynn(Edward)Randall and Robin(David)Roth and his beloved wife of 44 years Barbara. Survived by his sons; Gregg (Patty), Chris and Patrick, grandchildren; Beth, Derek, Dustin, Tiffany, David, Taylor and Logan, great grandchild, Gabriel, aunt, Jean Montenaro, uncle, Joe Montenaro, Frank Monaco, the "Beechwold Barber Shop Gang", his loving, caring neighbors, his poodle companion Gabby and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may call THURSDAY February 2, 2012 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 5:00-8:00 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on FRIDAY February 3 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (within the St. Joseph Cemetery), 6440 S. High Street, Lockboune, Ohio, Rev. Msgr. John K. Cody, Presider.
