Robert Earl Crites, 86, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, St. Ann's Hospital. A long time resident of the Hilltop and a former residence of the Forest Hills Center. Bob was the fourth child of ten, he grew up across the street from Mount Carmel Hospital and attended Holy Family School, grades 1-12. He proudly served in WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard on the USS Eridanus AK-92 when he became a member of The Ancient Order of the Deep. Bob retired as superintendent from Chevron Asphalt Company after 40 years of dedicated service. Bob was married to Donna Eagon for over 54 years until she passed away in 2004. After Bob retired from Chevron, they took many vacations together to Hawaii, Las Vegas and a Caribbean sea cruise. His favorite hobbies included going to Beulah Park and golfing with his brothers. Until the last few years, he frequented his and Donna's favorite neighborhood hangout, Planks on Parsons Avenue every Saturday with his family. Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Crites(Eagon); parents William Earl and Margaret Mary Crites; brothers, James, Charles, Milton and sisters, Mary (Cliff) Chesbrough, Geraldine and brother-in-law William Bartholomew. Bob is survived by his daughters; Susan Crites, Janet Speelman, Diana Crites, Teresa Coburn, Cathy (Kris) Donker, grandchildren Matthew (Andrea) Speelman, John (Amanda) Speelman, Sara Coburn, Katie Coburn and Jason Donker, great granddaughters Rachael Speelman and Kaydence Speelman, sisters, Helen Bartholomew and Julia (Ted) Swigert, brothers, Donald (Betty) Crites and Daniel (Joann) Crites and sisters-in-law Jean and Lorene Crites. Friends may call SUNDAY, June 6, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on MONDAY June 7, 2010 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (within the St. Joseph Cemetery) 6440 S. High Street, Lockboune, Ohio, Rev. Msgr. John K. Cody, Presider.
