Obituary
Rita M. Salvatore, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 after a couragous battle with a rare form of cancer. Graduate of Our Lady of Victory Grade School, St. Joseph Academy High School and attended The Ohio State University.Rita worked for Jobs and Famiy Services. Long time member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she volunteered many hours with the Garden Club served on Parish Council,and was voted Volunteer of the Year. She is preceded in death by father Gregory Salvatore. Survived by mother Alma, sisters Patricia (Jim) Goodrich, Barbara Greiner and Donna (Jeff)Frye. Also survived by nieces and nephews; Ben Clouse, Courtney Saunders, Allison Panos, Adrienne Vincent, Angela Greiner, Ashley Morrow, Brad Frye and Brittany Frye, many great nieces and great nephews, dear friend Royce Aldrich. Friends may call THURSDAY December 20th 2012 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on FRIDAY December 21st 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church 280 N. Grant Ave., Columbus, Ohio Rev. Fr. Michael Mary Dosch, OP Presider, Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO GATHER AT THE CHURCH FOR HER FUNERAL MASS. Our hearts are saddened today as we were told of Rita's death. She was in our prayers always and we will miss her greatly. Even though we have not been able to visit, we kept in touch through mail and phone calls. I spoke with her several weeks ago and received a note from her in October. God rest her soul and we look forward to meeting again in Heaven. Love, Jim & Peggy

I had the pleasure of spending time with Rita, Alma, and Royce for several years while working at Sumenos restaurant during college. She will forever be remembered as one of the most kind-hearted, gentle woman I've ever met. Throughout the time I worked there, I got to know her as a daughter, a devout Catholic, a great story-teller, a fighter, and above all a wonderfully loyal friend. It breaks my heart that she has left us, but I know she is at peace with God. I will miss her dearly and continue to pray for her family. May she rest in peace. With all our love.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Rita's passing. She was a great person to work with and and a loyal friend. Though, I had not seen here in recent years, I had kept up with her through co-workers.She was an honest, hardworking lady...so responsible. And of course, what a sports fan. She always amazed me with her knowledge of teams, players,etc.
Most of all, she was real and sincere. I will keep her in my heart always. My sincerest sympathy to all of you...

I am so sorry and sad as i was told of Rita death. I knew Rita when she first came to work for the Bureau. Rita was a special person.

Mrs. Salvatore, Patty, Barb, Donna and families....we were so sad to hear about Rita's passing. It is a very difficult time for all of you and especially at this time of the year.
