Obituary

Richard Donald Conklin age 81 of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in his home. He was born on August 10, 1944 in Yonkers, New York. Richard served in the US Airforce as a Staff Sergeant. He graduated from SUNY Stony Brook University in 1971 and he had a career at Nationwide Insurance Company that spanned over 25 years and he also enjoyed reminiscing about Woodstock. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Maude (Allison) Conklin. Richard is survived by his daughter, Jennifer V. (Charles) Barger; son, Robert T. Conklin; and grandchildren, McKenzie V. Welch, Gavin M. Barger and Lani R. Barger. There will be a Visitation held on Thursday April, 30, 2026 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home 1177 W 5th Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 12-2 pm.
