Obituary

Rebecca Jane Gallicchio, 89, of Grove City, Ohio went peacefully to be with her beautiful Savior on Dec. 6, 2012. Rebecca served her life with arms wide open, enfolding hugs and with the loveliest smiles anyone will ever know. No matter what situations life dealt her she handled them with honor and grace. She always put other’s needs in place of her own. If everyone was like her the world would be a peaceful place. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in a group on the radio called the Milk Maidens in the 30’s and in St. Joseph’s Cathedral Choir later in life. Preceded in death by father and mother Lincoln and Grace Roese; brothers Scotty Roese, Ray Roese, Bobby (Betty) Roese; sisters Ida Mae (Charlie) Slane, Anna (Phillip) Dusenberry; loving husband of 55 years, Phillip Gallicchio, daughters Marianne Gallicchio and Debbie Clark. Survived by sister Betty Hatton; 4 daughters, Vicki (Mike) Kader of Grove City, Ohio; Valorie Gallicchio, Phyllis Gallicchio, of Columbus, Ohio; Barbie Young of Honolulu, Hi; 4 grandchildren, Sarah (Teddy) Locke, Katie (Nick) Hilton, Chelsea Cottrill, Michelle Kader; 4 great-grandchildren, Kyle Locke, Haley LaPointe, Hannah LaPointe, and Natalie Hopper. Rebecca's family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, Columbus, with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3730 Broadway, Grove City. Rev. Fr. Daniel J. Millisor, Presider with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
