Obituary

Pauline Theresa Evans, age 88, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 3, 1923 to the late Guiseppe "Joe" Collura & Rosaria Cosentino. She graduated from Holy Family High School as Salutatorian, Class of 1942. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who ever met her. In her younger years she enjoyed gardening, cooking and baby sitting many of the neighborhood kids, but her one great love was her family and family gatherings. She was always ready for a game of poker with friends and buying a few lottery tickets. Pauline was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers; Joe Collura & Gus Collura, sisters; Marie Collura & infant Paola Collura, Susanne Bolognone. Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Evans, daughters; Corina (Jim) Brown, Regina (Bob) Carney, son, Michael (Cyndi) Evans, grandchildren; Amy (Fred) Greene, Rob (Amy) Carney, James (Carrie) Appell, Mark (Jennifer) Carney, Angela (Guy) Vignola & Sarah Marie Evans, great grandchildren; Andrew, Justin & David Greene, Thomas, Luke, Kayla, Moira, Sean, Patrick Carney, Dario Esposito, Victor and Collin Appell, brother, Sam Collura, sister, Betty Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends at Windermere Village, Westerville, Ohio. Special thanks to all the staff on the fourth floor of the Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio. Friends may call SUNDAY February 12, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on MONDAY February 13 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (within the St. Joseph Cemeterty) 6440 S. High Street, Lockboune, Ohio Rev. Fr. Charles E. Cotton, Presider. Private interment will follow. Friends who wish may contribute in memory of Pauline to the Holy Family Soup Kitchen, 584 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a very kind and lovable to everyone. She was so nice. I have some St. Anthony beads that she gave to me.I will remember her every time i use them.I'm sure that she is with all of her family, now. I want you to know how very sorry we are for your loss. Aunt Pauline is such a big part of my childhood memories. Picnics at the river and all those family parties, sleep overs and later on those crazy card games. Loved her smile - she kept us laughing. I thank my lucky stars for my Aunt Pauline and will hold her in my heart forever.
