Its hard to find the words. My brother Paul will be missed. He was always the historian, the built-in GPS, the keeper of ""all that is family" . It may not be the perfect place for what I assume would be his direct quote, "sonofabitch!", but he will be forever in my heart ❤️

My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was more than a coworker to many of us. To me, he was like a father figure. He always listened with patience, kindness, and respect, regardless of age or position. His wisdom, compassion, and willingness to help others made a lasting impact on so many lives. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Dad,
I would have been 3 years old when you were my age now. You would have had the red truck still. You still talked to yourself about things you were processing when you thought no one else was paying attention to you. You did it around me because I was a toddler.
I remember.
You would have been ready on a weekend like this to hoist me up in the air after work with your feet and do the old “Jr. birdie” routine on the Moroccan couch mom got from Pier 1 when you both were moving in together.
Since it’s a Friday, we would have had a junk food smorgasbord for tgif.
Since I was 3, I wouldn’t remember what mom made us for dinner.
I noticed you stopped talking to yourself and biting your nails around the time you got out of Marzetti’s. I hope it was because things became less stressful for you. I remember you telling me you used to smoke around the time I was born and before. It takes awhile to not feel something like that. I hope you learned to cope and I hope I will learn how to as well, even though I’m not a smoker.
I talk to people who aren’t there more, now, than I ever have. I wonder if you were talking to yourself or people you lost before my time with you. I don’t always know who I am without those talks and it seems like it’s going to become more challenging now that you’re gone.
You weren’t confident but you were funny. You made mom laugh for hours when you were home together. Mom wasn’t confident either but she knew how to roll with your jokes better than anyone. You were so weirdly good for each other. Through the broken and unspoken things that you couldn’t express with others. You just held each other there and didn’t judge. I learned that from how you loved and I carry it now that you’re both gone.
You’ll be hearing from me when I tell you how much I miss you and love you, when I think no one else is around to hear it. I’ll think of you when I’m weird and someone laughs but doesn’t know why they thought I was funny. I think you’ll be there when I feel heartbroken again, to remind me that broken hearts heal.
Until then, I’ll keep you with me ❤️
I love you, dad
I miss you
