Oliver "Bud" Norris Collins, 83. devoted son, father, husband, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather of Columbus, OH, passed away on August 9, 2024. He was born on October 4. 1940, to the late Oliver Howard and Ellen Margarita Finelli. Bud got his nickname from his mother and father because he was firstborn, so later he was their "Little Buddy". Oliver was in the first graduating class of Bishop Watterson HS 1958. He was an outstanding student and athlete, captain of the football, baseball and basketball teams. He worked for Prudential Insurance for many years and in 1974 opened Barley Binn Drive Thru. He also owned. Restoration Unlimited. Oliver was a member of The Knights of Columbus St. Elizabeth Council 11193. He was a longtime parishioner at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church where he was Chairman of the car show and served on Parish Council. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed watching them win or lose. He was full of life, kind and caring to everyone he met. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and devotion to family. Oliver is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ellen; brother, BC "Bill"; and his two sons, Marc and John. Bud is survived by his wife Louise and her three daughters, Kris (Angie) Drake, Chanda (Tim) Michael and Robyn (Jerry) Wheeler; brother, James "Jim"; sister, Jeanne (Robert) Montgomery; sister-in-law, Johneen; grandchildren, Brittany (Chris), Nick (Amanda), Jennifer, Jessica, Zachary (Lindsay), John Jr., Amanda (Michael) and Melissa as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Bud requests that the Browns offensive linemen come to his funeral to let him down one more time. The viewing will be held on August 14. 2024 at 9:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43229.
