Sorry for your loss. I worked for Mondo in 1975-77 while I was in law school. That income allowed me to finish school, and I am forever grateful.

My most heartfelt condolences to the family. Mondo was one of a kind and will be deeply missed. He hired me in 1976, and I still have the original offer letter from Touche Ross signed by Mondo. He was a terrific mentor and shaped my professional development. One of my most treasured memories was winning the Bearfoot Classic (Muirfield Village member-guest tournament) as Mondo's partner. I am so very sorry for your loss. Mondo's memory will always shine brightly and his influence will endure.

Mondo was one of a kind. You do not meet many people like him throughout your life. He was many things, most of all, a true gentleman. Always a kind word and that smile. There just are not many people like Mondo in this world. He made this world a better place.

We humbly offer our respects to an American hero, Mondo Lombardi. The brave men left from WWII may be few in numbers but they shall never be forgotten for their courage and sacrifice. We never met or knew Mr. Lombardi, and that would be our loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

My deepest condolences to Mondo’s family. I feel lucky to say that our professional careers shared the same path, if only for a very brief time. I started at Touche Ross in 1988 just as Mondo was retiring. I got to know him better after he retired, when he would occasionally stop by the Touch Ross offices to say hi. He was a legend to the younger staff and we always felt special if Mondo would strike up a conversation with us in the coffee room. The last time I saw him was around 1990 when he hosted some of the former Touche Ross team at his home for the Memorial Tournament. The house was packed with guests, but he took the time to chat with me and share some stories about the war… and golf, of course. I feel very fortunate to have known him.
