Molly Ouellette was born March 27, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, to Alphonse and Susie Moschello. She was the oldest of four children. When she was 13 years old, Molly was a beauty contestant in the Miss Italian Columbus pageant. Even though she only came in third place, her father was very proud of her. He pointed out to his friends how happy he was his daughter had won and how her beautiful she was. Molly graduated from Central High School in 1950 and went to work at Buckeye Union Insurance as a file clerk. She met her future husband, Gerald Ouellette, at a dance when he was stationed at Rickenbacker Air Force Base and she was in the USO. She moved to Maine in 1959 and raised her five children there. Molly worked at the University of Southern Maine in the cafeteria as a short order cook and made many friends with the students and her fellow coworkers. In October 1994, she moved back home to Columbus and worked at various temporary jobs. In 1996, Molly started to work at Kroger as a courtesy clerk. She retired October 22, 2021, after working there 23 years. During that time, Molly made many friends, among her fellow associates and customers. Some customers went so far as to do their shopping during her shift because they enjoyed her sunny disposition and friendly service. Molly touched many lives, and, in turn, was loved by many. She is survived by her two sisters and brother, four children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation at on Wednesday September 24, 2025 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W 5th Ave Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 3-6 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held the next morning Thursday September 25, 2025 at Chapel B inside Union Cemetery 3349 Olentangy River Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43202 at 11 am.
