Michael "Mickey" Amicon walked his final fairway on June 24, 2025. Mickey was the middle child in a family of seven boys and he was the only one with any sense of fashion. He was a skilled golfer, a regular at Woodlands, and a lover of music and literature (if you consider horse racing forms literature). Mickey was proceeded in death by parents, William and Marjorie (Harlow) Amicon; and brothers, Andy and Bobby Amicon. Mickey is survived his children, Nina and Derek; brothers, Rocky, Billy (Kim), Ronnie, and Rick (Annie); sister-in-law, April; nephews, Emelio DiSabato, Eli DiSabato, Gabe, Gus, Luke, and Joey Amicon; and nieces, Cassie (Andrew) McIntire, Callie DiSabato and Maria DiSabato There will be a visitation on Fri. I was a classmate of Bobby’s. Whom we miss so much. I remember Micky giving me a ride home in grade school. He got pulled over for speeding. I told him to put his seatbelt on. The cop let him off. He always thanked me for that.
I live in Grandview Heights like he did. I would see him from time to time and he would always update me on his kids. He loved them so much.

Heartfelt condolences to the entire Amicon family on the passing of a great friend of some 40 years. I met Micky through his older brother, Rocky, ( yet one more example of too many lefts and not enough rights)!! We shared the mutual interests of music, sports, humor, and “Life its Ownself”. He was a typical Amicon - simply put, a joy to be around. There’s not enough time or space for me to adequately capture who he was and what he meant to all of us. He will live on in all of hearts and in particular through the lives of Nina and Derek, who will be a testament to his legacy.
Now, I think I’ll cue up some Clapton, or Petty, or maybe some Allman Brothers - then I’m gonna turn it up !!
Peace n’ Luv
