my mind drifts back to the late 1960's when we saw Frank & Mary sitting side by side on the bench seat of the family car, driving down 1st Avenue. Though we boys kidded Dee Dee endlessly about her parents doing such a teenage thing, there was another unspoken thought back then. It went something like 'I wish my parents were like that', those of us whose folks were still together, let alone that close. I've thought about that image many times over the decades, as it was so sweet and so very different from my young life. The image of the Monacos squeezed together (in a Dodge Monaco!) inspires me to this very day.

Uncle Frank and family,
I am very saddened by Aunt Marys passing. I was honored to be able to call her my Aunt also. She will always have a special place in my heart. She is one of the kindest people that God ever created, and heaven just became a better place by having Aunt Mary there.
I will be praying for you and your special family this weekend.
Love, Bob

Dear Dee Dee,

We were so sad to hear about your mother passing. Since we have both lost our mothers,we know the empty place their passing leaves in your life.

Your mother seemed like she was a very special person. She was so fortunate to have a talent that allowed her to touch the lives of others.

We were so glad to get to meet her at the Battelle Bingo night last year. She certainly had that special sparkle about her that told you how much she loved her life and those around her. I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Please know our prayers and our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Carole - to you and your family we send our deepest sympathies. We were sad to hear the news but know this is a time to celebrate her life and her many contributions to our world. She truly is in the arms of our Savior, free of her struggles and pain. To your family I send love and prayers for your strength and pray also that you will allow the love of the Father to heal your sorrows at her leaving us. Be encouraged in the Lord and in the Power of His might. Carole - I am so glad your mom gave birth to you. She gave us all a very special angel in this world. We love you and you will keep you in our prayers.

I am thinking of you. The last time I saw you, you were the beautiful daughter driving your mother down Cambridge Boulevard. I honked and waived, but you did not see me. I thought to myself, typical Dee Dee seeing to her mother. I am out of town for Easter and wish you and your family the best as you celebrate your mother. I remember her as a warm and wise person with a wonderful smile just like her daughter. Warmest regards, TommyO.

Frank and the entire Monaco family,

We were so sorry to hear of Marys passing. She was always so gracious and charming to us and we were very fond of her. We will miss her greatly.

We are also sorry not to be able to express our condolenses in person but we are in Italy at the moment. Nate has two conferences here so we have made his work into a vacation.

Italy is wonderful, as always, but a little sadder with all of our loss.
