Bob, so sorry for your loss, Mom's are special people...you've been very blessed to have her in your life all these years. Remember, we only mourn for those of us left behind, as we cannot bear to think how our life will be without Mom to talk to everyday.....she is in a much better place now. Thoughts and prayers to all your family.

I just heard of your mother's passing on a recent trip to Cols. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
She was such a beautiful and strong lady. When I was a student at DeSales ('70-'74) she was our much beloved "lunch lady". Not only did she work very hard to provide us with outstanding lunches (still miss her cooking!), she served them with the smile and warmth of a mother. It was so comforting to see her kind face every day in the midst of high school chaos.
My cousin married Phil Faiella's daughter.
Quick story....I got to see her at the Faiella's 50th Anniversary party (2005?) and finally got to thank her for spoiling us with her beautiful lunches (in front of a group of ladies about her age sitting close to her). She gushed with pride as all the ladies made a big deal over my enthusiasm about her cooking so many years ago. She gave me a big hug that I'll never forget. Thank you for sharing her with us and may God rest her precious soul.
