Mary Ann (Flacche) Chapin, age 89, passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2015, after a courageous battle with (multiple myeloma) cancer. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, James and Angelina Flacche; sisters, Lola (Tony) D'Amico, Norma (John) Francescon; brother, Joe (Ella) Flacche and brother-in-law, Albert D'Amico. Mary is survived by her loving husband, John of 65 years; her children, Kathleen Chapin, Steven (Sherry) Chapin and Karen (Rick) Ohlemacher; grandchildren, Cami (Mike) Winter, Zach (Jordan) Chapin, Emily (Jaime) Sotelo, Rick (Sarah) Ohlemacher and Greg Ohlemacher; great-grandchildren, Marie, Kaylan and Luke Winter, Stella and Sadie Sotelo and Anne Thomas Chapin; sisters, Dorothy D'Amico and Emma (John) Moro; and brother, James (Deanna) Flacche; she is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Mary's joy in life was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also took special pride in planning and hosting the annual Flacche Family Christmas Party. Mary was a long time member and actively involved with St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church for over 65 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Hofmiester and the entire staff of Columbus Oncology and Hematology Associates for their compassionate care of Mary. Her family will receive friends on Friday, October, 23, 2015 from 3-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Family and friends are asked to gather at St. Margaret of Cortona Catholic Church, 1600 N. Hague Avenue on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for her funeral Mass.
