Martha is proceeded in death by her parents Olindo and Lucy (Schiavone) Colaprete; sister, Francis Fudoli; brother-in-law, Tony Fudoli; and Grandson, Antonio Vatelle. Martha grew up in Grandview Heights graduating in 1951. There she met her husband of 70 years Vito Checchio, where together they raised their beautiful family, Cindy (Tim) Evans, Joanne (Tony) Kostantinidis, Mike Checchio, and Sherrie (Dave) Vatelle. She was adored by her 10 grandchildren, Scott (Callie), Andrew (Jessica), Alexis, Dominick, Mikey, Sophia, Christopher, and Gina; and 6 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Antonio, Mila, Camden, Aiden, and Mara. Martha was an original founder of St. Brendan's Catholic Church where she was a member of the women's club. I'm at a loss for words. Martha was a special woman. I can remember all the times we play in the backyard and she'd come get us for lunch. Schirtzinger Rd was a special place with special people and Martha was one of them. My life is filled with memories of Martha and all of us playing at your house. I'm sorry I can't get up there but she will be in my thoughts and prayers. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. She was a special lady.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Martha was such a key person in my childhood. It's because of her and rest of the family's on shirtzinger Rd that I turned out the way I am. Martha was a special lady and her passing will be felt by many. It brought tears to my eyes when I read she had passed. One more shining light has left the world. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers until we all meet up again on the other side. I love all you guys, I'm sorry I can't be up there. I would if I could, you all have a special place in my heart .
