Obituary
Mark Richard Lantz, age 42, on Monday, July 21, 2003. Electrican with the IBEW Local 683 and formerly worked in the Asphalt Industry. Mark was an avid car enthusiast. Attended West High School, graduated from Newark High School Class of 1978 and also attended Franklin University. Preceded in death by grandparents Earl & Inez Lantz, uncle Harry Lantz and aunt Patricia Lantz. Survived by mother Anita Lantz, father Richard(Paulette)Lantz,sister Lauren(Simon)Roper, brother Craig and fiancee Shannon Dauberman, nephews: Charlie, Craig, Jr. and Joey Lantz, grandparents Charles & Angie DeMatteo,godmother & aunt Mary Ann(Carmine)Cervi, deceased godfather & uncle Carmine(Carol)DeMatteo, Sharon(Larry)Asire and numerous cousins,friends and union members. Family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2003 at the John Quint & Sons Funeral Home, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at the Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel within the St. Joseph Cemetery, Rev. Fr. Carmen Arcuri,Officiating. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218. Very sorry to hear of your loss of your son Mark.
Losing a child can only be understood by those who have actually experienced the loss of a child. As you know we lost our son Jay when he was 19 and he would have been 42 also.
