Obituary

Margaret Caldwell Masdea was born on February 8, 1950 in Erling, West Virginia. Margaret passed away on May 6, 2023. She was 73 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruno Masdea; her parents, Boyd and Pauline Caldwell; brothers, Boyd Jr. Caldwell and Andrew Caldwell and nephew, Stephen Caldwell. Margaret is survived by her son, Eddie Chandler; step-children, Ann (David) MacDonald, Angela (Don) Ackerson, Ted Masdea, Theresa (Tom) Wiley, John (Glenda) Masdea, and Jim (Deb) Masdea; brothers, Dana (Linda) Caldwell, Steve (Diana) Caldwell, Paul Caldwell, Michael (Lisa) Caldwell and sister Patti Ely; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many other nieces and nephews. Margaret worked at All American Cablevision, where she met her husband Bruno of 35 years. She then studied hard to become a Nurse and Caretaker at The OSU James Medical Center. Margaret loved gardening and cooking, (Especially Italian Food). She also loved to shop, but most of all, Margaret (aka Sami or G.G.) loved spending time with her family, going to Church and absolutely loved the Lord. Friends and Family are invited to a Visitation on Thursday May 11, 2023 from 4-7 pm at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home 1177 W. 5th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am May 12, 2023 at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. I was just made aware of Margaret's passing. I worked with her years ago at The James at Stoneridge. She touched my life and I wanted to send my condolences to your family. She always talked about her beloved Bruno and her kids and grandkids.
