Louis Anthony Jessing "Richard" age 89 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully November 11, 2025 at the Laurels of Worthington, with his loving wife and family by his side. Richard was born April 21, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio and he is preceded in death by daughter, Marjorie Miller; brothers, Tony and Jack Jessing; sister, Maryann Wise; and mother, Louise Jessing. Richard was a loving family man. He was a loving husband and father. He worked at Star Nelson Furniture for 28 years. He also worked at Rosemont School for 18 years and Kroger part time after retirement. He was an artist and was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. Richard worked as a Red Coat at the OSU Stadium for 1 or 2 years. He loved decorating for every holiday, and he had an amazing Christmas Village with a train that smoked that went all around the entire village and a Halloween display that family, friends and neighbors looked forward to seeing every year. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marjorie Jessing; and the children he loved so much, Lois (Heath) Pettry and Rebecca (Mark) White; son, Louis Jessing Jr. "Richie"; and son-in-law, Donald Miller; 5 grandchildren, Tona (PC), Tony (Chella), Casey (Chase), Katelyn and Layton; 10 great-grandchildren, Angel, Michael, Mason, Charlie, Allen, Evee, Quinten, Violet, Rowan and J.P.; sisters-in-law, Betty and Nicky; and many other nieces, nephews and by his wonderful loving dog Sparkle. There will be a visitation on Sunday November 16, 2025 at the John Quint Treboni FH 1177 W 5th Ave Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 1-4 pm with a Funeral Service following at 4 pm. A Graveside Service will be held the next day Monday November 17, 2025 at St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 S. High Street Lockbourne, Ohio 43137 at 1pm.
