Lilda Ann Lombardi passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026 at the age of 101 in her home in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by the love of her family, Lilda was born on April 23,1925 in Columbus, Ohio. She lived a long and meaningful life filled with kindness, hard work and devotion to those who she loved most. She was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and the joy she found in caring for others. She loved cooking meals that brought family together around the table, sewing with patience and creativity, and spending treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and love; and her family will forever cherish the memories made there. Lilda taught those around her the importance of family, resilience, generosity, and simple joys. Her wisdom, stories, and steady presence touch generations and will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her. She is survived by sons, Thomas (Charlotte) Lombardi and Jim Lombardi; daughter, Janet Lombardi; grandchildren, Katie (Andrew) Timms, Samuel Lombardi, Tamara (Harold) Thomas, Gina Lombardi and Ann Marie Lombardi; and eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Anna-Jean (Ted) Scott; daughter-in-law, Kathy Lombardi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lilda was preceded in death by husband, Severino; son, John; brothers, James, Joseph, Annio, Tony, John and Robert Castorano; sisters, Mary Musille, Elsie Pagani, and Betty Ford. There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home 1177 W 5th Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 4-7 pm with a Prayer Service at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the next morning Friday May 22, 2026 at St. Margaret of Cortono Catholic Church 1600 Hague Road, Columbus, Ohio 43204 at 10:30 am with a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 S. High Street Lockbourne, Ohio 43137 following the Mass. A special thanks to long-time friend of the family, Dennis Lee, who helped take care of Lilda during the last years of life as well as caregiver, Ismy Joseph. The family would like to thank everyone who shared in her remarkable life and kept her in their thoughts and prayers. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
