Obituary
Lena Mary Colatruglio, age 93, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born Lena Mary Santilli on November 28, 1929 in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, a first-generation Italian American. Graduated Sacred Heart Commercial High at age 16. Lena was a devoted member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church where she was active in the Women's Club and choir. Lena was part of the Altar Women's Society and Women's Club at St. James the Less Catholic Church. Being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend were Lena's greatest rewards. Inspired by her strong Catholic values and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Lena led a life of faith impacting those she touched with her beauty, strength, generosity, and gentle caring heart. Preceded in death by husband, Geno Colatruglio of nearly 42 years; mother, Adelina Fala, son, Stephen Colatruglio, sister, Gilia and brother-in-law Frank Iafolla; son-in-law, Randy Rosser. Lena's memory will live on through her five surviving children, Patrick (Pamela), Rosemarie, Anthony (Monica), Adelemarie (John), and Anita (Mark); twelve grandchildren Tony, Tim (Michelle), Ryan (Cassie), Rhiannon, Andrea (Chris), Vincent, Maria, Marissa, Trey, Evan, Nina, and Dillon; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. The family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary loving care that granddaughter Maria Baird provided as her in home aid for many years. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Thursday, November 16, 2023, St. Andrew Catholic Church 1899 McCoy Rd. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
