Kenneth H. Doolittle passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2025. Kenneth was born March 8, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He graduated from Punahou School in 1948. He attended Earlham College graduating with an A.B. in Chemistry. He attended medical school at the University of Rochester followed by a surgical internship at Mount Carmel Hospital and a Residency in Urology at the Ohio State University. He served as Captain in the U.S. Army 101st Airborn Division and as Battalion Surgeon from 1958-1960. He practiced as a Urologist in Columbus, Ohio from 1960-1994. He served as President of Medical Staff at Mount Carmel East Hospital in 1984. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and supported many ministries. He enjoyed gardening and was a member of Garden Club and Rose Club. He was an avid reader and enjoyed books about World War Two and Pearl Harbor. He served on the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Foundation Board and received the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago Distinguished Service award on May 16, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley J. Doolittle. He is survived by his children, Kenneth H. II (Mary L.) and their children, Kristen, Stewart, Elizabeth (Barry) and Alison; William W. (Valerie) and their children, Robert (Megan) and Sarah (Justin); Jonathan S. (Holly Rae) and their children, Cole, Jonah and Grace; Holly K. (Russel) Hale and their children, Joshua, Jason (Lynsey) and Courtney (Jordan); and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 2001 Northwest Blvd. Columbus, Ohio 43212.
