Kathleen Veronica West, age 81, passed away on Wednesday July 7th 2004. Born July 11, 1922 in Athens, Ohio. She came to Columbus in 1927. She attended Holy Name School and St. Mary High School, Class of 1940. She was married to the late Carl A. West in 1942 and was a former employee of The Ohio State University. She is preceded in death by her parents Henry & Catherine(Fagan)Collins, sister Dorothy V. Harrup and Mary E. Collins, brother Martin P.(Monica)Collins and her loving husband of 58 years Carl. West and David M.(Margaret)West, grandchildren Sean Carney, Bridget Turpie, William Kirk, Rory O'Callan, Katie O'Callan and Brian West, great granddaughter Mackenzie, brother-in-law William C. Harrup and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Sunday July 11th 2004 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home 1177 West Fifth Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM on Monday July 12th 2004 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel(within the St. Joseph Cemetery) 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio, Rev. Fr. Kevin Lutz Celebrant. Interment will follow. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at both Westminster Thurber and Hospice at Riverside/Grant for the care and comfort provided to our mother.
