Obituary

Karen Fitzmartin passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the age of 66. Karen was born on August 8, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio to Donald Fitzmartin and Winifred (Fitzmartin) Bukey. She was an active member of Girl Scouts of America while growing up and was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, class of 1974. After high school, Karen attended the Columbus Business Institute where she received many business support certifications. Karen enjoyed both reading and cooking as two of her favorite hobbies. She would often experiment and prepare different types of cuisine that she would read about in various cooking magazines. Karen was also an amateur artist, and she painted many beautiful pictures that she shared with friends and family over the years. Karen was preceded in death by her father Donald Fitzmartin. Karen is survived by her mother Winifred “Winkie” Bukey and her brothers, John (Cindy) Fitzmartin, James Fitzmartin, Michael (Elisa) Fitzmartin along with many nieces and nephews.
