Obituary
Judith E. "Judy" Gerardi, age 66, of Columbus, died on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Judy was a devoted 42 year member of St. Mary Magdalene Parish and sang in their choir for 35 years. A devout Catholic, Judy had a special devotion to Our Lady of Consolation at the Shrine in Carey, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Adelaide (Botti) Hayes; father-in-law, Sam M. Gerardi; brother, Thomas Hayes; aunts, Helen and Neda Botti and her uncle, John Botti. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her devoted sons, Joe (Kelly), Jim (Laurie) and Sam (Carla); her dear grandchildren, Joey, Matt, Luke, Mila, Jimmy, Jack, Sammy and Lyla; brother, Nicky Hayes; mother-in-law, Mary Gerardi and her sister-in-law, Mary Hayes. Judy's family will receive friends on Sunday, January 27, 2013, from 3-7 p.m., at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, with a Prayer Service at 4 p.m. Her funeral Mass is Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 473 S. Roys Avenue with Rev. Fr. Stanley Benecki as the Presider. Entombment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne, Ohio. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Judy was a frequent participant in many silent retreats sponsored by the Catholic Laywomen's Retreat League over the past years. We send our sympathy to all her family and friends. We will remember her at our March 1, 2013 retreat and miss her. God bless you all.
