Obituary

Joseph M. Paese of Gahanna, Ohio died on October 22, 2024 at Danbury of Columbus. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on November 6, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Catherine (Lorditch) Paese; his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Fetter Paese; sisters, Mary Louise (Richard) List, Carolyn (Peter) Galli, and Jeanette (Gordon) Olson; and brothers, William Paese and Charles Paese. Joseph graduated from Cincinnati St. Xavier in 1946 and attended and graduated from Case Institute of Technology in 1955. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1950 through 1953. Joseph retired in 1988 after working for the Ohio Industrial Commission's Division of Safety and Hygiene. Joseph is survived by his brother, Jack Paese; and sisters-in-law, Jean (William) Paese and Mary (Charles) Paese. Joseph was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church. At Joseph's request, there will be a closed casket with no visitation hours and a private ceremony at St. Joseph's Cemetery 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137.
