Jeanette (Dattalo) Cirivello, age 97, died on Friday September 20, 2013 at her residence. The last of the 12 children of Anthony Dattalo (1886-1947) and Rose Salamony Dattalo (1876-1944), she was born April 9, 1916. Founding member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. With her husband Frank, she owned "Jeanette and Frank's Fruits and Vegetables" at the old North Market (the "Quonset Hut") in Columbus. Founding member and president of Phi Beta Sigma Sorority. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank (1921-1998); daughter, Mary at birth (1947); brothers, Joe (1893-1976), Sam (1895-1963), Anthony (1897-1982), Fred (1912-1981); sisters, Josephine Dattalo (1900-1973), Mary Zarzano (1902-1956), Anne Guzzo (1904-1988), Carmella Dattalo (1907-1990), Nina Cirivello (1908-2003), Rose (Sr. Mary Carmina, OSF, 1910-1994) and Florence DiNovo (1915-2003). Survived by sons, Vincent, Frank and Michael (Laurie); grandsons, Vincent, Frank, Eliot, Zachary and Nicholas. Eternal thanks to all of her attentive nieces and nephews for their frequent visits, cookies and cards, especially the DiNovo brothers for their long and special relationship to their aunt including our many vacations on Catawba Island; and "Daughter" Suzy Ripple Rhett; also noted friends, Mary Kinder, Josephine Santilli and Rose Morgan.
