Obituary

Isabel (Gaylord) Taglione, age 94 of Upper Arlington, passed away November 7, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. Isabel was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Theresa Gaylord. Preceded in death by her loving husband Anthony Taglione, infant brother Frank, sister Mary Torchio, brother George Gaylord, and sister Helen Crister. Isabel graduated from Central High School in Steubenville where she was valedictorian of her class and earned a scholarship to the Collage of St. Mary of the Springs. She was her senior class homecoming queen and played the saxophone in the school's marching band. She participated in a bowling league and was an avid bridge player for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress and gardener and loved all kinds of birds. Isabel was the co-founder of Lair's Hallmark Centers and a founding member of St. Andrew Catholic church where she was active for over 65 years. Isabel was a wonderful wife and mother, who was known for her hospitality, like her Christmas and 4th of July parties and many good Italian dinners. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Lorraine Buehler, her daughters Patricia Taglione, Nancy (Phil Stevens) Taglione and Diane (Steve) Falor. Her sons Thomas Taglione, Richard (Peggy) Taglione and Robert (Susan) Taglione. Her grandchildren Anthony (Meagan) Taglione, Maria (Mitchell) Belile, Dominic Taglione, Julia (Joseph) Murphy, Angela Taglione, Alissa Taglione, Kristen (Adam) Vaughan, Stephanie Taglione, Caroline (Lucas) Poole, Robert Jr. (Andrea) Taglione, and Nicole (Randall) Hanna. Step-grandchildren, Katherine (Anthony) Miller, Rebecca (Jamal) McAdoo, and Douglas (Barbie) Falor and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation Friday November 11, 2022, 4-6 pm with a Rosary Service at 6pm at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W FIFTH AVE. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday November 12, 10:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, where family and friends are asked to meet. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, please have Masses said for the repose of her soul. Arrangements entrusted to the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME.
