Obituary
Irene Biancone(Gregory/Cusin) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 30, 2011. Irene retired from the Rosemont Center and was a member of Amici D'Oro and S.F.I. Auxiliary. She was treasured by all who knew her and delighted in giving everyone her delicious homemade pizzelles. Her love for nature, The Ohio State Buckeyes and all of her St. Matthias Parish family was only surpassed by her love for her family and her God. She is preceded in death by parents Louis and Marian Gregory, sisters; Emma Scherrer and Helen Mann, her loving husbands; Leno Cusin and Paul Biancone and her dearest friend Velma DePietro. Irene will be deeply missed by her daughters; Janet Bauch and Linda (John) Hassey, her sons Steve (Sally) Biancone and Rick (Cathy) Biancone, her grandchildren; Lori (Kurt) Snedecor, Lisa (Steve) Raikes, Chrissie (Adam) Hegenderfer, Danielle Biancone and Paul Biancone, her nine beautiful great-grandchildren Nikalena, Alanna, Ryan, Elia, Luke, Hobie, Mylah, Isaac and Niccolo; sister Norma Barrow and brothers Bob (Ester) gregory and Jim Gregory and her precious mother-in-law Jennie Biancone. Friends may call TUESDAY January 3, 2012 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 5:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on WEDNESDAY January 4 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43224, Rev. Fr. James T. Smith, Presider. FAMILY & FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Irene to the St. Matthias Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Irene lived down the street from me. I didn't know her until my son Michael had Cathy as a Kindergarten teacher last year and my neighbor Velma said her best friend was Cathy's mother-in-law down the street! For the last two years Irene was so eager to help Michael with his candy bar sales for St. Matthias. She was a sweet lady. I am sorry for your loss. Though Irene will be missed here, I know Jesus and Velma welcomed her with open arms!
