Ida Marie Cacchione(DiPlacido), age 84, passed away on Monday, September 01, 2003 at the Forum at Knightsbridge. A member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by parents Frank and Rose,loving husband Alfonso, sister-in-law Wanda DiPlacido, sisters: Clara Serafina and Virginia Charnier, brothers-in-law: Elmo Serafina, Sr., Robert Charnier and Jay Smith. Survived by children; Fred(Cinda)Cacchione and Marcia(Phillip)Stern, grandchildren; Amanda(Art)Mabry, Adam Cacchione, Merideth Cacchione, Jennifer Stern and Brendan Stern, sister Yolanda Smith and brother Frank DiPlacido. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 03, 2003 at the John Quint & Sons Funeral Home, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, from 4:00-8:00m pm with a Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 04, 2003 at the St. Mary Magdalene, 473 S. Roys Avenue, Rev. Fr. Carmen Arcuri, Celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street. Condolences may be sent to www.johnquint.com.

Sorry to hear about your mother. She was a wonderful woman who was always willing to let us all hang out in your basement. People like her is what enabled us to grow up with a place to feel comfortable and wanted. Something missing in today's society. She will be remembered for the kind deeds she did for us all. Ida will be in our prayers.
