Obituary

Helen (Melfi) Vilardo, age 87, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital with her family at her side. Born November 17, 1928 in Columbus. A devoted mother and grandmother, Helen graduated from Holy Family High School and was a longtime member of St. Agatha Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Jennie (DeLuca) Melfi; husband, Philip Joseph Vilardo; siblings, Mary, Florence, Felix and Nick. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Jo Vilardo and Linda (Geoff) Bevan; son Phil (Michele); grandchildren, Jen and Joe Bevan and Philip and Patrick Vilardo; sister, Esther Stamper; and many additional relatives and friends. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Road, Rev. Fr. Daniel L. Ochs, Presider. Friends may meet with the family from 9:00 a.m. in the Vestibule of St. Agatha Church until her funeral Mass. Private family burial, St. Joseph Cemetery.
