Obituary

Edita J. Quint passed peacefully from this life on Saturday February, 19, 2005. Her warmth, one of a kind style and infectious smile touched so many. She will not be easily forgotten, and will be sorely missed. Edita is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Robert Quint, loving children, Marita Quint, Marie Antoinette Alipio, Louise Cordova, Sonia Nunga, and Rafael Jardeleza Jr., brothers Florante Xavier and Mario Javier, sister Celia Welch, and 10 grandchildren. Edita was born in Manila, the Philippines, March 6, 1934, and grew up in Iloilo. A graduate of St, Paul's Nursing School, she became a registered nurse in 1952. This was a career that would lead her to travel to Chicago, Canada, and Galveston, Texas where she would meet her husband, Robert Quint. They made Los Gatos their home for 32 years. She was a nurturer and an adventurer; was quick to smile and laugh, and had a cheeky sense of humor. Edita loved to create delicious meals, and one was sure never to leave her home with an empty stomach. Her passion for travel took her all over the world, but she had a great fondness for the bright lights and excitement of Las Vegas. Visitation will be held Thursday 3/3/05 & Friday 3/4/05 from 6:30 pm – 9pm at Lima Family Mortuary Santa Clara, 466 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara, this will include a vigil on Friday beginning at 7pm. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, 3/5/05 at St. Mary's Church in Los Gatos at 11am.
The family would appreciate donations made in Edita's name to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
