It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of our cherished matriarch, Dorothy Jean (Barnett) Lolli, who departed this life peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by the family she so dearly loved. She was 86 years old. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, April 1, 1939, Dorothy was a woman of generosity, kindness and an overall zest for life. She dedicated her life to her family, nurturing generations with unconditional love and service to others that shaped the very foundation of who we are. She was the heart of our home - the one who always pulled us together. Her mannerisms, laughter, and giving soul will echo in our hearts forever. Through her lovingly prepared meals, kind cards, and frequent check-ins, Dorothy made everyone feel seen and treasured by offering herself fully and selflessly. Her home was always a place of welcome, her presence a source of peace. Dorothy and her husband, Dan, shared many memories together including traveling to visit the many relatives from West Virginia to Italy. Dorothy worked at OSU in the Ohio Union's dining facilities for 17 years serving the public and athletes including Coach Hayes. In retirement, they loved wintering in Margate, Florida. For the last 13 years, Dorothy embraced the Summit Chase community while enjoying the many pool days and managing the Coffee Club. Dorothy believed in the power of prayer and was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Adams; her aunt and uncle, Mary and Holly Adams; and her beloved husband of over 50 years, Dan. She is survived by her loving family; children, Beth Sale and Frank (Connie); grandchildren, Melissa (Steve) Edell, Jeffrey (Jacy) Sale, Melanie Lolli, Diana (Alfred) Yates, Emily Lolli (Ethan Wilson); and great-grandchildren, Carter, Mila, Riley, Owen, Liliana, all of whom carry her legacy of love and strength forward. She is also survived by Debbie (Roger) Rusnak, David (Holly) Adams and many other cousins. Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother (GiGi) and her greatest joy came from being with family and friends. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the traditions she began, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely. We will carry her memory with us always. "Well done, good and faithful servant." -Matthew 25:23
